Verdener Keks- und Waffelfabrik Hans Freitag GmbH & Co. KG is an owner-managed family business in Verden that has been producing fine baked goods with great care and love for many decades. We produce around 130 different biscuit and wafer products in bags and other packaging and market them nationally and internationally.

Accountant (m/f/d)

We are currently looking for full-time support for our accounting department.

Your tasks:

• Account assignment and posting of digitized incoming invoices and execution of the invoice approval process using the invoice approval workflow.
• Creation of transfers and payment runs.
• Execution of automated invoicing runs, including processing of reminders
• Reconciliation of accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as communication with suppliers
• Assistance with the preparation of monthly financial statements
• Other accounting activities and collaboration in the further development of accounting processes

What you should bring to the table:

• Completed commercial training, preferably with further training as a financial accountant
• Several years of professional experience in accounting
• Good knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office
• Responsible, careful, and structured approach to work
• Ability to work in a team, reliability, strong coordination skills, and a friendly manner
• Very good written and spoken German
