As a Laboratory Technician (m/w/d), you will join our Science & Technology Division in Vernier (Switzerland). You will be in charge of designing and conducting research projects to develop improved new products and solutions, according to our business objectives and corporate strategy. You will develop Fragrance excellence and implement scientific and technological advancements.
You will translate consumer benefits or customer requirements, which are typically received through new business opportunities, into a set of laboratory samples. You will have to plan, organize, and execute projects, ensuring delivery of results.
In this exciting role you will :
- Project
- Perform experiments under a project leader daily, tracking and recording all learning and share them with your supervisor.
- Write reports and updates, and ensure project progress.
- Problem Solving
- Apply creative thinking skills, solve problems, and work towards achieving project deliverables.
- Daily support production challenges globally.
- Research Method Development
- Contribute to the development of research methods under guidance and identify their impact on current products.
- Collaboration Interaction
- Collaborate with potential outside partners and talk with suppliers.
- Scientific knowhow
- Be a scientific and technical expert in your own area. Participate in building a solution sharing knowledge and learning in specialist field to ensure the optimal performance.
Your success profile includes:
- CFC in chemistry or equivalent
- Expertise in some of the following topics:
- Design, synthesis and characterization of polymers
- Emulsions
- Sustainable materials
- Analytical chemistry (examples: viscosity, particle size, zeta potential, chromatographic methods, IR, UV, SEM, TGA, DSC)
- 3+ years of experience in R&D environment
- Fluent in French and good command of English
- Drive for results
- Hands-on approach and willingness to work in the lab
- Be able to connect with a large variety of people
