We’re on the lookout for a Principal Design within our overarching Brand Team. In this role, you’ll be part of shaping the creative future of our brand design - from defining visual style and imagery to driving projects across advertising, film, design projects and beyond.

You’ll set the vision for Design, Messaging, and Art Direction, ensuring every execution reflects a strong and consistent identity. Functionally leading a team of talented designers, freelancers, and agencies, you’ll foster collaboration and deliver impactful, consistent visual experiences across all channels.

As a key creative leader, you’ll also play a central role in evolving the look & feel and tone of voice of the kununu brand, making sure everything we create aligns with our strategy and brand architecture.

Your tasks:

You functionally lead and mentor a cross-functional creative team and external partners.
You provide clear guidance and feedback throughout each project lifecycle.
You set and uphold a strong, insight-driven creative vision and strategy for the brand across all channels and audiences (B2C and B2B).
You develop compelling visual and verbal ideas and execute concepts for campaigns, social media and web aligned with our brand vision.
You actively manage the execution and asset adaptation across formats and touchpoints.
You manage projects, capacities, resources, timelines, budgets and design requests with efficiency and clarity.
You own and optimize our design brief and request system, effectively managing, prioritizing, and delegating tasks with clear deadlines.
You collaborate closely with Brand, Marketing, Product and Sales to ensure alignment and effective communication.
You champion clear briefing and feedback processes, ensuring alignment and clarity between stakeholders and the creative team.
You maintain a positive, supportive, and proactive team environment.
You bring strong skills in Design principles, Creative Suite, Figma, Jira, and Notion.
You evolve the creative team into an internal agency serving creative business needs.
You drive innovation by staying ahead of trends and pro-actively integrating AI tools for efficiency.

Your skills:

At least 10 years of creative experience, within agencies across different industries, ideally for digital products or e-commerce.
Proven leadership experience in guiding and developing creative teams.
Strong visual taste, storytelling, copywriting, motion and film conception skills.
Balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution.
Empathetic, collaborative leader with mentorship strengths.
Skilled in workflows, project management, and stakeholder communication.
Skilled in project management, bringing clarity to complex projects.
Exceptional communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English and German.
