As a QA Engineer (m/w/d) you will be the champion of quality within our Agile environment. You will work in close cooperation with our Product, Development, and Support teams to ensure our AI-powered accounting platform meets the highest standards of reliability and excellence.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Execution: Design, create, and execute comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and detailed test cases (both manual and automated).
- Agile Quality Ownership: Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies (Planning, Refinement, Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives), ensuring quality is a priority at every stage.
- Requirements & Definition of Ready: Collaborate closely with the Product team to review requirements, write clear acceptance criteria, and ensure stories meet the "Definition of Ready" before a sprint begins.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in cooperation with multiple teams (Product, Support, Accounting Management) to identify, triage, and resolve issues.
- Team Advisory: Advise and mentor the development team on testing best practices, automation techniques, and fostering a strong quality-first mindset.
- API & Automation: Perform in-depth API testing and expand our automation coverage using modern frameworks like Cypress or Playwright.
Required Qualifications
- Proven QA Experience: You have demonstrable experience as a QA Engineer, ideally within the accounting, financial, or FinTech sector.
- Test Automation: You have hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- API Testing: You have a strong understanding of API flows and experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Insomnia).
- Agile Expert: You have proven experience participating in all Agile ceremonies and thrive in a fast-paced Scrum environment.
- Communication: You possess excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Mindset: You are a natural problem-solver with a meticulous eye for detail and a passion for quality.
- Text Pyramid: Strong understanding of different test types with their purpose and position in the release cycle
- SDLC: Understanding of Software Development path through different stages and environments up to the release
Nice to Have
- ISTQB Certification or equivalent.
- Proficiency in the German language.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
- A background in accounting principles.
