About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our NSYNC production line in performing the data analysis of the different components, composition, and quantity of chemicals within the process waste streams. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic GMP manufacturing environment and to contribute to the efficiency and reliability of our operations.
What you will get:
- Practical experience in GMP operations and pharmaceutical production environments
- Exposure to enterprise systems (SAP, DMS, RAMS, LIMs, MES)
- Insight into lean manufacturing and cross-functional teamwork
- Opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a key area of operational efficiency
What you will do:
- Analysis of different components in process waste streams
- Compare the compositions of media and buffers across 50+ customer projects
- Quantify the concentration and quantity of different raw materials delivered to different waste outlets
- Perform cross-department assessment with Safety, MSAT, and Operations against the reactivity of the different chemicals
- Process Improvement:
- Apply the Lonza Business Management System (LBMS) methodology and principles, including: Problem solving and root cause analysis, w aste reduction and p rocess standardization and continuous improvement
- Collaboration with Operations, MSAT, QA, and Safety on new product introduction safety gap assessments
- Support Manufacturing Activities:
- Sample delivery
- Buffer disposal and container breakdown
- Material inventory and reconciliation
- Autoclave preparation and operation
What we are looking for:
- Student or recent graduate in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Interest in process optimization and materials management
- Proactive mindset and willingness to learn
