What you’ll build

Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) in SAP S/4HANA empowers companies to easily create feasible and optimized production plans and procurement proposals. PP/DS performs finite capacity planning, which means it considers real-world limitations and constraints, such as available machinery capacity or raw materials.

To accelerate the improvement and modernization of our solution, we are establishing a new development team in Walldorf following the Harmonized Product Operating Model.

We are looking for a Product Manager to build up and lead a new Empowered Product Team partnering closely with the teams of the PP/DS and IBP ecosystem.

• Define and drive the PP/DS Public Cloud vision
• Compile a comprehensive and executable Product Strategy to drive successful deliverables, adoption and customer success
• Drive roadmaps for your specific topics as Team Product Manager such as Cloud Enablement and Integration including ownership of backlog items and portfolio planning
• Ownership of scope items and collaboration with LoB PMs and engineering teams for continuous updates and evolution of delivered scope
• Collaborate across teams with product marketing, engineering, UX and the partner ecosystem
• Drive an AI-first approach by ensuring AI use cases are integrated into every new functionality to improve efficiency

What you bring

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in product management in software products, project/program management in development, or similar roles with knowledge in SAP S/4HANA Cloud
• Structured thinking, fast-learning, delivery-focused, and positive can-do attitude
• Experience with driving feature adoption
• Ability to work well with other team members across different locations
• A solution-oriented attitude in a highly innovative work environment
• Cloud mindset
• Excellent communication and external presentation skills
• Excellent English language skills written and oral, German language skills are a bonus

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with supply chain management concepts, PP/DS, IBP, APO or similar products

Our organization is responsible for the development and enhancement of Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) within SAP S/4HANA. You will join a dynamic new scrum team which will contribute to the success of SAP’s solutions around Supply Chain Planning.

In our collaborative environment, innovation and technical excellence are highly valued. This role offers opportunities for both personal and professional growth within a global organization. You will collaborate closely with other scrum teams and product management across various locations, including Walldorf, Budapest and Bangalore.

This position allows you to engage in the conceptualization, design, prototyping, and development of core PP/DS processes, providing you with a diverse and enriching work experience.
