What you'll do
Join our agile engineering team working on Situation Handling, a key capability within SAP S/4HANA Cloud that helps users detect, understand, and resolve critical business situations faster. You’ll support the development of cloud-native backend services and user interfaces that impact real-world business processes used by companies around the globe.
This role offers hands-on experience with modern ABAP, SAP Fiori, and CDS views in a cloud environment, giving you the opportunity to work with cutting-edge SAP technologies and actively contribute to live development projects.
As part of the team, you will:
- Support development of backend features using ABAP and the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
- Help design and implement CDS views and business logic
- Contribute to Fiori-based user interfaces using SAP Fiori Elements and SAPUI5
- Participate in code testing, debugging, and performance validation
- Collaborate in agile ceremonies (e.g., dailies, sprint reviews, planning)
- Assist in documenting technical concepts and features for internal and external use
What you bring
- Enrolled student (f/m/d) at a university or university of applied sciences
- Preferred fields of study: Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related discipline
- Basic programming skills (e.g., Java, JavaScript); familiarity with ABAP is a plus
- Foundational knowledge of software engineering, including the software lifecycle, testing, and agile methodologies
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and structured working style
- Proficient in English and German (minimum B2 level)
- Willingness to work from the Walldorf office at least once per week (remote/hybrid work possible)

We are part of the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Foundation unit and build Situation Handling – an intelligent framework that helps users across all industries stay on top of critical business events. Our team combines backend, UI, and DevOps expertise to deliver cloud features that integrate deeply into the SAP ecosystem. You'll work in a collaborative, supportive, and highly skilled environment where learning and contributing go hand in hand.
Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
