In this role, you will be counted upon to further develop SAP’s official broadcast platform.
Some of the tasks you will tackle include optimization of the broadcast platform by implementing feature requests and bug patching. You will be expected to design and write high-quality code with security and data privacy considerations as a foundation. Additionally, your contributions towards re-writing older code using modern frameworks will be highly impactful to the team.
We are not shy to adopt new technologies and frameworks so you will have lots of opportunities to learn and expand your knowledge and expertise.
What you bring
- Team oriented mindset
- Proficient in JavaScript
- Experience with JavaScript UI Frameworks such as Vue.js, Angular and React
- Capable writing secure REST APIs (Express / Fastify)
- Containerization (Docker / containerd)
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux terminal (i.e. bash, zsh).
- It is preferred that the ideal candidate can come into the Walldorf office some days a week (flexible on schedule) to interface with local team there
Some of the technologies you will become familiar with include:
- Node.js, Nest.js, video.js
- Kubernetes
- MongoDB
- Figma
As a global team, proficiency working in the English language is a must!

The interactive broadcast platform is a web app that makes it possible for leaders throughout SAP to reach a broad audience through live streaming and video on-demand. Working alongside a small group of developers and infrastructure experts, you will work in a team committed to delivering a high standard of quality and reliability.
We are a transnational team spanning multiple time zones. We actively seek to leverage the latest technologies and encourage open dialogue on ideas from all perspectives. Your colleagues bring diverse backgrounds in development, infrastructure, audio/video production and event management – offering a complete service that is highly visible within the company.
Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
