What You Bring

• A university degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering , or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development , with at least 3 years in architecture or senior design roles .
• Strong experience with Microsoft technologies (.NET / C# ), SQL databases (ideally Microsoft SQL Server), and web technologies .
• Solid understanding of modern software design principles ( SOLID , modularization , maintainability ).
• Experience modernizing legacy systems and improving code testability.
• Deep knowledge of software security best practices (e.g., encryption , authentication ).
• Agile mindset and hands-on experience with methods like Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong communication and leadership skills – including mentoring and giving constructive feedback .
• Fluency in English and at least B2-level proficiency in German are required.
• A strategic thinker with a passion for high-quality software , ready to create real impact in a legacy-rich environment.

What You’ll Do

• Take Technical Ownership : Define and continuously evolve the architecture roadmap for our Summit product – the foundation of mountain access systems.
• Be a Change Agent : Guide a highly experienced and close-knit development team through a cultural and technical shift toward modern software practices.
• Build Bridges : Improve collaboration, feedback, and shared accountability.
• Document and Structure : Establish clear, reliable technical documentation - your structure will be the backbone of future development.
• Provide Technical Guidance: Act as a senior expert by mentoring developers, sharing best practices, and ensuring alignment with SKIDATA’s architectural standards.
• Stay Hands-On : Develop alongside the team when needed – this is not an ivory tower role.
