To strengthen our Manufacturing and Measurement Systems Department within the Process Technology Division, we are looking for a Research Associate (m/f/d) specializing in Production Engineering for the holistic analysis and optimization of concrete product manufacturing.

• Planning, execution, and documentation of research and development projects in mechanical engineering, concrete product manufacturing, and process and plant engineering
• Holistic evaluation of building material production (primarily concrete products) with a focus on: lean production, quality assurance, digitalization & sesource efficiency
• Knowledge management
• Coordination and management of research projects and industrial contracts in collaboration with partners from industry and academia
• System planning, process analysis, and optimization of both in-house and industrial production facilities
• Design, construction, and commissioning of test rigs, including supervision of experimental campaigns

• Completed university degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, or a comparable technical field
• Knowledge of quality management methods such as APQP, FMEA, and Six Sigma
• Strong technical and methodological skills, paired with a business-oriented mindset aimed at process stabilization, productivity increase, and lead time reduction
• Experience in project management is a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to work
• Good proficiency in German (minimum B2) and English (minimum B1), both spoken and written
