Your future area of responsibility

• Data modeling & optimization: Designing and developing powerful, scalable data models and defining efficient data structures for analyses and reports
• Data quality & process optimization: Ensuring high data quality through automation, monitoring and continuous optimization of data processing processes
• Data analysis, visualization & statistics: Use of advanced analytical methods and statistical procedures to evaluate complex issues and support decision-making; creation of meaningful visualizations and reports
• Machine Learning & Model Development: Developing, training and validating ML models to solve complex problems (e.g. forecasts, preventive maintenance, process optimization) and transferring the models into practice in close cooperation with the specialist departments
• Data standardization: Combining and integrating data from different sources (e.g. production plants, sensors, databases) into a central, uniform database
• SCADA system support: Management and further development of the existing Ignition SCADA system, including independent implementation of minor adjustments and improvements to support production processes

Your profile

• Completed studies in (business) computer science, mathematics, data science or a comparable subject area
• Several years of professional experience in an industrial environment (production/automation)
• High analytical and problem-solving skills as well as structured and independent working methods
• Very good programming skills in Python and experience with common data science/machine learning libraries (e.g. Pandas, scikit-learn)
• Confident handling of SQL databases and data modeling; knowledge of database design and ETL pipelines
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI) for creating dashboards and reports
• Ideally experience in dealing with SCADA systems (e.g. Ignition) or industrial automation technology
