Compulsory Intern - BI Analyst (m/f/d) - Sales & Operations - Summer Semester 2026

The position is offered for 6 months, from 1 February 2026 to 31 July 2026, on a part-time basis for 20 hours per week.

With over 1600 employees, the Octapharma site in Vienna is the largest production site, and successful research and development location.

Your main tasks and responsibilites

• Conduct data analysis and modeling to ensure accuracy and consistency across datasets
• Extract, clean, and analyze datasets from multiple sources to simplify complex data and propose ideas for improving data generation and quality
• Develop and test BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualization tools
• Collaborate with the S&OE team to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical requirements
• Automate and digitalize existing manual reporting processes using Microsoft Office 365 tools such as Power Platform
• Identify and explore opportunities to apply AI applications to automate repetitive and manual tasks

Your expertise and ideal skill set

• Studying at a university of applied sciences (FH) with a focus on business intelligence, data science, data analytics, or a comparable degree program
• Completion of a mandatory (FH) internship in the summer semester of 2026 is included in your university of applied sciences study plan
• Proficiency in BI tools, especially Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and data warehouse design
• Strong SQL skills (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) for querying and data manipulation
• Familiarity with Python, R, or Java for data analysis
• Understanding of AI concepts and cloud-based BI solutions
• Experience with Power Automate and Power Apps for process automation
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel (advanced formulas, macros/VBA, PivotTables, data visualization), plus experience with Power Automate and Power Apps
• Understanding of basic supply chain management concepts and processes
• Fluent in English (oral and written); German is desirable
• Team player with strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills

• We, the Sales and Operations Execution team, are responsible for short-term production planning, inventory management, stock replenishment, batch allocation, and packaging.
• Our team is divided into three areas: supply planning, inventory management, and packaging.

The minimum gross salary according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) is EUR 2,010.75 based on 38 hours per week (full-time).
