AI:AT is a joint project of AIT and Advanced Computing Austria. It brings together top-level expertise in high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, and data ecosystems, creating an interdisciplinary innovation environment for research, development, start-ups, and industrial projects.
AI:AT – the AI Factory Austria – provides access to cutting-edge AI infrastructure, promotes trustworthy AI and ethical standards, and serves as a hub for networking with national and European partners. The goal is to work with partners from industry and public institutions to develop and implement forward-looking AI technologies and viable AI solutions.
As part of the collaboration within the AI Factory Austria, TU Wien will delegate experts to the AI Factory Austria. For our location in Vienna, we are seeking a:
Coordinator OF The AI:AT LEARNING CENTER (f/m/d) (FULL-TIME / PART-TIME)
AI:AT - AI Factory Austria
- Design, coordination, strategic development, and operation of the AI:AT Learning Center
- Serve as a central contact point for skills development, training, internships, and exchange activities within AI:AT
- Coordinate AI training programs aligned with the AI Act and industry needs to upskill professionals and foster trustworthy AI
- Establish and manage an internship and exchange program connecting academia, industry, and European AI partners
- Monitor program impact, gather feedback, and ensure continuous improvement and strategic alignment
- Support researchers and innovators from AI:AT and partner institutions in exchanging the latest scientific methods and findings in fields such as biotechnology, manufacturing, public administration, and physics to accelerate innovation
- Assist business partners in effectively utilising new scientific results through targeted technology transfer activities
- Build and maintain networks to promote AI related knowledge transfer and long-term collaboration across sectors
Your qualifications:
- Completed university degree (PhD/Master’s) in, e.g., computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or natural sciences
- Proven experience in coordinating training or exchange programs, ideally in a tech or research environment
- Solid understanding of AI concepts and applications, including current EU AI regulations (e.g., AI Act), awareness of AI ethics and human-centered design principles
- Strong networking and stakeholder engagement skills across academia, industry, and public sectors
- Excellent organisational management abilities with a proactive, independent work style
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences
- High level of teamwork skills
- You are a strong communicator with a confident demeanor, who is able to present complex topics clearly and understandably, and who enjoys working independently with a high degree of responsibility
- When necessary, you represent AI:AT in national and international expert committees, networks, and conferences, significantly contributing to the visibility and reputation of Austria as an AI hub
- You should be eligible for working in Austria

- The entry level salary is determined by the level IVA of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff, i.e., a minimum of currently EUR 3.390,30/month gross, 14 times/year for 40 hours/week, relevant qualifications and experience may increase the monthly income - in addition to a competitive salary, we offer a benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans
- We are looking to fill this position at the earliest opportunity
- The position is funded by the AI Factory Austria until June 2028. An extension beyond this period may be possible depending on future project developments.
