AOP Health is the European pioneer for integrated therapies for rare diseases and in critical care. To enhance our team in Vienna we are looking for a:
As a Digital Transformation Project Manager, you will serve as a strategic partner to the business and a hands-on leader in project execution. You'll engage stakeholders across departments to shape digital strategies, evaluate new opportunities, and bring them to life through effective planning and execution.
This role combines strategic advisory - fostering innovation and translating business goals into digital initiatives - and project management - leading cross-functional teams to deliver successful IT and digital projects.
What Your Day To Day Will Look Like
Business Partnering & Strategic Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor to business units (e.g., R&D, Commercial, Enabling functions,...), identifying digital innovation opportunities.
- Support strategic planning by translating business challenges into technology roadmaps and investment priorities.
- Lead scoping, feasibility analysis, and business case development for new initiatives.
- Facilitate strategy workshops, stakeholder interviews, and innovation sessions.
- Stay current on emerging digital trends and assess their relevance to AOP Health's operations.
- Champion change management and digital adoption across functions.
Project Management & Delivery
- Plan and execute IT/digital projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Develop detailed project plans covering timelines, resources, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
- Set up governance structures, define roles/responsibilities, and manage scope changes.
- Lead cross-functional project teams (technical, business, vendors) and foster collaboration.
- Monitor milestones, budgets, and quality metrics using tools like JIRA, MS Project, or Trello.
- Ensure quality assurance, user training, and documentation for seamless handovers.
- Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improvement areas.
Your Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Business, Digital Transformation, IT, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, such as Digital Transformation Lead, IT Business Partner, or Technology Consultant, with a proven record of delivering complex and innovative digital solutions
- Intellectual curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset - seeking new approaches and challenging the status quo
- Customer-focused mindset, able to proactively build bridges and communicate complex technical information in a concise and clear manner
- Strong stakeholder engagement, change management and leadership skills, with experience leading cross-functional collaboration.
- Hands-on experience in project scoping, feasibility studies, and budget planning
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) and governance best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle ambiguity and uncertainty in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industries is an advantage

- Gross annual salary provided for this function is a minimum of EUR 75.000.- based on full-time employment (38,5h/week). Any potential overpayment depends on professional experience and qualifications.
