As an intern in our George Empower team, you won’t be fetching coffee — you’ll be writing code that matters. Your mission will be to help us build and maintain the backend services that power George. We focus on clean code, scalable architecture, and seamless integration—working closely with designers, analysts, and QA to deliver features that matter to millions of users.

What to do:

• Collaborate with experienced engineers to build and maintain Java-based backend services
• Contribute to the development of microservices and APIs that power George
• Participate in agile ceremonies and learn how real-world software development works
• Write clean, testable, and efficient code using modern Java frameworks
• Explore technologies like Spring Boot, Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines

Your Background:

• Ongoing or recently completed studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• First experiences with Java and object-oriented programming
• Curiosity about backend development and distributed systems
• A proactive mindset and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent English skills
