Product Owner - Payments (f/m/d)

The Product Owner – Payments owns the end-to-end success of Greentube’s payment products in a highly regulated iGaming environment. Operating within a tech-first organization, this role is responsible for defining, delivering, and continuously improving payment capabilities that are reliable, scalable, secure, and competitive across multiple markets. Working closely with Engineering, Risk, Legal, Finance, and external payment partners, the Product Owner balances strategic product thinking with hands-on execution to optimize payment performance and support long-term platform evolution.

• Owns the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for assigned payment domains such as acquiring, alternative payment methods, payouts, or payment orchestration
• Defines clear objectives and success metrics, including conversion rates, authorization rates, payout performance, cost efficiency, and availability
• Works closely with agile development teams to design, build, test, and launch payment functionality
• Translates business, technical, and regulatory requirements into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Prioritizes initiatives based on customer impact, business value, risk, and technical feasibility
• Coordinates releases and dependencies with Frontend, Risk, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams
• Acts as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders on payment-related topics and performance
• Collaborates with external payment service providers, acquirers, and vendors on integrations and optimizations
• Ensures payment solutions meet regulatory and jurisdictional requirements in close alignment with Compliance and Legal
• Drives operational excellence by supporting incident management, post-incident reviews, and proactive issue resolution
• Uses market, competitor, and provider benchmarking to inform product decisions and build business cases for improvements

• 5+ years of experience in product ownership, product management, or a similar role
• Proven experience in payments, fintech, iGaming, or another regulated digital industry
• Hands-on experience working with payment service providers, acquirers, and alternative payment methods
• Experience working in agile organizations and with agile methodologies
• Strong understanding of modern payment ecosystems, including payment flows, payouts, and authorization processes
• Familiarity with regulatory topics such as PSD2, SCA, and jurisdiction-specific requirements
• Proven ability to work effectively in agile environments with cross-functional delivery teams
• Comfortable using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and collaboration platforms
• Strong analytical, structured, and data-driven mindset with a high sense of ownership
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage
