Our client is a technology leader in special-purpose machine engineering, developing complex high-tech machines and test benches (Vöcklabruck area - Upper Austria). As a Senior Automation Engineer, you take full technical responsibility for projects from start to finish and manage all phases independently. You oversee international commissioning, work closely with customers on site, and successfully implement cutting-edge control technology solutions in a demanding global environment.
Aufgabengebiet
- Full technical responsibility for the project from A-Z: planning, PLC programming, selection and integration of sensors and actuators, control logic, coding, and commissioning
- Creation, adaptation and optimization of PLC programs, process visualizations and data analyses
- Independent execution of Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests directly at international customer sites
- Technical coordination of project teams, internal departments and international customers
- Support in preparing technical system specifications
- Participation in development and optimization projects
- Ensuring the functionality of control logic, sensors and actuators
- Documentation, reporting and ensuring achievement of project objectives regarding quality, schedule and customer satisfaction
- Willingness to travel: approx. 50% worldwide; standard commissioning duration approx. 2 weeks, occasionally 3-4 weeks
Anforderungsprofil
- Completed technical education (apprenticeship, HTL, university of applied sciences, university) in mechatronics, automation engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable field
- Several years of experience independently managing automation projects is an advantage, but not required (can be learned in this position)
- Solid knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal, AWL, FUP and SCL as well as drive parameterization
- Willingness to travel worldwide (approx. 70%) and high flexibility
- Drive and motivation to adapt quickly to new cultural environments and act effectively
- Strong team orientation, independent working style and excellent problem-solving skills
- High willingness to learn and motivation to master new technologies and systems
- Very good English skills; German at communication level
Vergütungspaket
- Annual gross salary: approx. EUR 60,000-75,000, depending on experience and qualifications; flexible salary structuring possible
- Travel and international allowances: Attractive supplements for global travel activities that significantly increase total compensation (e.g. expenses, per diems, international allowances)
- Home office: At least 1 day per week; depending on the project phase (especially programming tasks), several consecutive home-office days per week are possible
- Working hours: Flexible working time from 06:30-19:00 with core hours from 09:00-15:00
- Vacation policy: No company-wide vacation shutdown, allowing fully flexible holiday planning
