• You will work in a results-oriented manner on customer projects, internal products, and research projects in the field of industrial AI

• You will be responsible for the design and technical implementation of selected data science projects with varying team sizes

• From processing large amounts of data to developing and productively deploying machine learning models, you will support the data science team in as many areas as possible with advice and assistance

• As an expert in tabular or time series data, you will collaborate with data and software engineers to provide scalable solutions

• You will provide comprehensive support to the data science team, from data processing and feature engineering to the development and productive deployment of machine learning models and large language models

• You will optimize existing machine learning models using advanced methods (data augmentation, data sampling, feature engineering, ensembling) while continuously evaluating the target metrics

• Your rhetoric and ability to visualize data will help you communicate methods and results to customers and other stakeholders in an understandable way

• Your high standards in writing and testing structured and high-performance Python code will serve as a model for your colleagues

• Your approaches to problem solving will push the boundaries of the current state of the art

• BSc/MSc/PhD in a technical field, e.g., machine learning, data science, software engineering, physics, or mathematics

• At least 3 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or data engineering

• Analytical mindset

• Structured and goal-oriented approach to work

• At least 3 years of Python experience

• Experience with code version control (Git)

• Advanced skills in a selection of: TensorFlow, Torch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, Kedro, OpenCV, Docker, Spark, SQL, Plotly, Matplotlib, etc.

• Experience with the following would be a plus:

• LLM and agentic workflows

• Computer vision

• MLOPs

• Data annotation/curation and active learning

• Mathematical optimizations

• Good English skills are a given for you and german would be a plus

The minimum salary for this position starts at € 55.000,- gross per year according to the IT collective agreement. Depending on your qualifications and professional experience, we offer a market-oriented overpayment.
