Senior System Administrator for Mainframe (f/m/x)

Our client in the field of IT infrastructure is responsible for all mainframe components and acts as a central interface to the outsourcing partner. They are now looking to strengthen their experienced team – with a focus on system administration, problem-solving , and technological advancement in the mainframe environment.

Your responsibilities:

• Responsibility for infrastructure components in the mainframe area
• Maintenance, further development, and operation of existing applications in various configurations
• Handling of production support and problem management
• Planning and execution of software upgrades
• Ensuring thorough documentation and quality assurance
• Technical support for internal development teams
• On-call availability as part of 3rd-level support
• Communication with software vendors and outsourcing partners

Your profile:

• Extensive experience with mainframe environments , such as:
• TSO, JES2, SDSF
• RACF, Connect:Direct
• Hands-on knowledge of z/VM , z/Linux , and Unix System Services
• Basic understanding of mainframe development languages and methodologies
• Independent and structured work approach
• Strong interest in new mainframe technologies and integration scenarios
