We are now looking for System Engineer OT (m/f/d) to strengthen our automation team in Austria. In this role, you will ensure the reliability and security of Valmet DNA process control systems for customers in the pulp, paper, and energy sectors.

Your Responsibilities

• Support and continuously optimize the Valmet DNA process control system for our clients in Austria and the CEE region, primarily in the pulp and paper industry as well as energy plants.
• Set up, administer, and maintain servers with Active Directory to ensure high system availability and seamless support of process control system applications.
• Deploy and continuously manage virtualization technologies on VMware and Hyper-V platforms.
• Implement and maintain IT security solutions such as WSUS, Symantec Endpoint Protection, and TXOne Stellar to ensure long-term system protection.
• Configure and commission switches and routers (e.g., Cisco, Moxa) according to Valmet DNA standards, ensuring a stable and secure network infrastructure.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• Completed technical education (HTL, FH, TU) in IT, automation, or electrical engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in technical service.
• Knowledge of other process control systems (Siemens, ABB, Emerson) is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Solid experience in Windows server administration and Active Directory.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and network technology (Cisco, Moxa).
• Experience with IT security solutions and process control systems is desirable.
• Structured, independent, and responsible work approach, with a passion for direct client interaction.
• Willingness to travel approx. 60% of the time. (Ideally, your place of residence is located in the area between Vienna, Salzburg and Graz)
• Class B driving license required.
