The Accounting & Tax Support Trainee will assist the Finance team in Iberia with daily accounting operations and tax-related tasks. This role offers hands-on experience in financial processes within a multinational healthcare environment, supporting compliance with local regulations and internal policies.
What Your Day To Day Will Look Like
- Support daily accounting activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist in processing invoices, payments, expense reports, and revenue recognition.
- Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other local tax filings.
- Support tax compliance processes and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with external advisors and internal stakeholders when required.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting support activities.
- Support the monitoring, analysis, and reporting of operational expenses and cost control measures.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and local accounting and tax regulations.
Your Qualifications And Experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous internship or academic experience in accounting or tax.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Navision or similar).
- Knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office tools.
- Fluency in Spanish and English (Portuguese is a plus).
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
