As a Dispatcher, you are responsible for the efficient planning, management, and monitoring of transport processes in day-to-day operations. You ensure the smooth execution of partially intermodal transport processes, the allocation and adherence to time slots, as well as communication between internal departments, customers, and partners/service providers. In addition, you ensure optimal use of resources and the minimization of CO₂ emissions.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Planning and coordination of partially intermodal transports, taking into account transit time, costs, and sustainability
- Monitoring of shipments and proactive communication in case of deviations
- Communication with drivers, customers, warehouse, customs, and external service providers
- Creation and maintenance of schedules, bookings, and transport documents
- Monitoring of time slots, loading and unloading processes
- Handling of deviations, complaints, and escalations
- Maintenance of transport data in TMS systems and creation of status reports
- Support in capacity planning and resource allocation
- Ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards
- Completed education in forwarding, logistics, or a comparable field
- At least 3 years of experience in operational land transport management and/or intermodal transport management
- Knowledge of customs and hazardous goods handling
- Confident use of transport management systems (TMS)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Resilience, flexibility, and ability to work in a team
- Confident use of MS O365
- Good German and English skills, both written and spoken
