Responsibilities arrow_right
- Simulation and layout of mechanical seals for gases and liquids
- Structural analysis and strength assessment of components using FEM, including dynamic and thermal simulations
- Integration of modern methods of artificial intelligence (e.g. machine learning, deep learning, LLM) for the further development of simulation models and the analysis of simulation and test data
- Development and maintenance of automated simulation workflows and calculation tools
- Interpretation and presentation of simulation results to support decision-making in the product development process
Qualifications arrow_right
- Completed studies (doctorate / PhD welcome) in mechanical engineering / process engineering / physics / technical mathematics, computational engineering or similar fields
- Solid foundational knowledge in the fields of engineering mechanics, structural mechanics, thermodynamics, machine elements and materials science, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer
- Knowledge of finite element analysis and the use of corresponding tools (e.g. Ansys, Abaqus)
- Experience in applying artificial intelligence methods, especially in relation to physical systems (e.g. surrogate models, data-driven simulation, reinforcement learning)
- Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, .NET, or similar
- Very good German skills (at least C1) as well as good English skills, both written and spoken
- Professional experience desired
