Job Description
We are bike-components – your online shop with a huge selection of brands and products that will delight every biker's heart. Here, you'll find a team of around 250 colleagues who work together on exciting projects with passion and expertise.
Not a true bike nerd? No problem! Besides riding, we share short lines of communication, a strong sense of community, a respectful working relationship, and, of course, the joy of delighting our customers. We'll take you on your next career step—right into a dynamic, open environment where you can grow.
Your professional trail
- Analysis, processing and visualization of data along the entire customer & order journey
- Development, maintenance and optimization of reports and dashboards in Power BI to support business departments and management
- Data modeling, transformation and aggregation in a DWH environment
- Implementation of data pipelines and automated analyses with Python (e.g. for forecasting, scoring or data enrichment)
- Support in building a self-service BI approach with clearly documented data models and clear metric definitions
- Close collaboration with data engineers, domain experts, e-commerce, marketing and controlling
- Quality monitoring and validation of data flows as well as active participation in data processes and governance
Your personal toolbox
- Professional experience in data analysis – ideally in a digital, e-commerce or retail environment
- Profound knowledge of development with Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling)
- Experience in dealing with relational database systems
- Solid programming skills in Python, especially in dealing with data
- Understanding of data modeling, metric definition, key performance indicator logic, and reporting architectures
- Analytical thinking, structured working methods and a good feel for business processes
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration with stakeholders from specialist areas
- Experience with data integration tools such as Airbyte, dbt or classic ETL jobs is an advantage
- Knowledge of SQL, ideally with the ClickHouse dialect, is desirable
- A basic understanding of e-commerce metrics, attribution, and funnel analysis would be helpful
- Experience with agile project work and tools such as Jira and Confluence is a plus
Your boost for the ride
- Perks for you – If you commute to work by bike, we offer modern changing rooms with personal lockers, showers, and a free towel service. This way, you can start your day fresh, even after your early morning workout. Don't feel like cycling? We're happy to support your mobility with a subsidy for the Deutschlandticket (Germany Ticket). And if you do prefer to use four wheels, you can conveniently park your car in the company parking lot!
- Your bike – To optimally equip your bike, you get access to exclusive employee discounts in our shop – not just for you, but also for family and friends! Don't have a bike yet? Then you can easily take advantage of our subsidized company bike offer. For additional discounts, you can also take advantage of the bike-components Corporate Benefits.
- Food & Drinks – In our canteen, you can expect a delicious breakfast and fruit every day, as well as a hot meal with a vegetarian alternative, complemented by a fresh, varied salad bar. Our snack cabinet is regularly restocked – suggestions and ideas welcome!
Coffee enthusiasts will find everything their heart desires at our coffee bar: cappuccino, espresso, latte macchiato, or simply a hot chocolate. Fun drinks can be purchased from the vending machine. Plenty of sparkling and still water, as well as a large selection of teas, are available free of charge – feel free to suggest your favorites here, too. - Your work-life balance – your career and private life should fit together seamlessly. That's why we offer you flexible working hours with our flextime model, as well as the opportunity to work remotely whenever your responsibilities allow. With 31 days of vacation, you also have time to unwind and recharge.
- Your future – We subsidize your company pension plan!
- Team & Culture – Fun and camaraderie characterize our everyday work – whether at bike events, trade fairs, races, or celebrating together at our annual summer party and Christmas celebration. Our modern open-plan office offers additional space for exchange, teamwork, and short distances. Four-legged colleagues are also welcome in the office, because dogs are part of the team at bike-components. And because we like things to be uncomplicated, we address everyone informally.
- Your health – We actively promote your health in your daily work routine. In addition to our ergonomic workspace and the associated product loan, you can clear your head with your colleagues during our regular lunch runs. Our bi-weekly yoga program promotes more balance. But would we really be bike components if we didn't also offer bike rides? Everyone is welcome to join our gravel and road community rides, followed by pizza at the store in Aachen – whether as a participant or even as a bc guide.
- Your personal development – We want you to grow with us long-term – both professionally and personally. We support you on your journey with 1:1 coaching on topics such as communication, stress management, and skill and self-management, as well as targeted training and individual development opportunities.
Would you like to reach your next career milestone with us? Do you have a good profile and the responsibilities are a good fit? Great! We look forward to receiving your application.
As bikers, nature is important to us. Therefore, we welcome digital applications rather than mailed applications. Thank you!
