ABOUT THE JOB
Head of Purchasing and Order Center (m/f/d) Plant Engineering
What's in store for you?
- Responsibility for the strategic and operational orientation of purchasing and for the further expansion of the division
- Development and implementation of purchasing strategies for sustainable cost optimization and risk minimization
- Carrying out market and competition analyses as well as benchmarks to select suitable suppliers
- Establishment, evaluation and further development of a supplier portfolio with at least three qualified sources per product group
- Conducting price and contract negotiations with a focus on long-term price and supply security
- Ensuring that all materials, components and services are procured on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
- Planning, control and coordination of the entire manufacturing and production processes, taking into account capacities, deadlines and material availability
- Analysis and control of bottlenecks and tracking of critical production orders including escalation management
- Creating, checking and maintaining parts lists, work plans and production documents
- Definition of production sequences and resource planning (machines, equipment, personnel)
- Participation in the introduction and further development of digital planning tools and lean principles (e.g. APS, MES)
- Close cooperation with internal interfaces such as sales, logistics, quality and design to ensure smooth processes
- Reporting to the management and deriving and implementing measures to achieve targets
What should you bring with you?
- Degree in industrial engineering, business administration, production engineering or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in operational and strategic purchasing and in setting up purchasing processes, preferably in mechanical/plant engineering
- Independent working style combined with a high level of judgment, assertiveness, communication and leadership skills
- Experience in managing teams and in target and personnel development
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
