About the Role
The position of Chief Transformation Officer & Chief of Staff at Swiss Re’s iptiQ business
unit, carries important responsibility during a pivotal period as the organisation undertakes
a strategic transformation following Swiss Re Group’s decision to transition out of the iptiQ
business. Entrusted with dual mandates, this role combines the oversight of divisional
management as Chief of Staff with the vision and execution required of a Chief
Transformation Officer.
Anticipated start date: November 1, 2025.
In the capacity of Chief of Staff, the appointed leader oversees the management of iptiQ’s
divisional operations, serving as a trusted advisor and liaison between the division and the
broader Swiss Re Group, and facilitating the execution of high priority projects. As Chief
Transformation Officer, the role focuses on executing Swiss Re’s strategy to divest and exit
the iptiQ business, partnering closely with the iptiQ Management Team to maintain
business continuity, collaborating with Corporate Development on M&A activities, and
orchestrating the business towards a systematic transition that maximises value retention
while honouring commitments made to internal and external stakeholders.
These leadership duties combine in a role that sits on both the iptiQ Management Team
and Transformation Committee, providing strategic oversight and continuity throughout
the business evolution.
Key Responsibilities
As Chief of Staff, this role holds responsible for the management of iptiQ divisional
operations function and the implementation of the Division iptiQ Strategy, in particular:
• serves as an advisor to the iptiQ CEO & EMEA Regional Marketing Executive and
iptiQ management Team members and advisers
• connects Division iptiQ strategy needs to the Group priorities, ensuring cohesion
and focus;
• leads high priority projects and key initiatives at the iptiQ CEO’s request;
• act as point of contact between the iptiQ CEO, staff members, and other Swiss Re
Group executives, committees and stakeholders to facilitate clear communication
and alignment;
• leads and manages iptiQ divisional operations function, including iptiQ
Management Team governance and performance management through KPIs;
• manages operational and compliance risks within the role’s functional
responsibility.
As Chief Transformation Officer, responsible for executing Swiss re’s strategy to divest and
orderly exit of the iptiQ business, in particular:
• in close collaboration with the iptiQ CEO, coordinating with Corporate
development on M&A activities;
• leads the transition to run-off, manages the divestment of various businesses, and
oversees the separation and carve-out of iptiQ from Swiss re;
• in alignment with the iptiQ CEO, represents iptiQ in designated committees,
Boards of Directors, steering committees, and decision-making forums;
• develops, monitors and reports on transformation progress and budget and
supports the annual business and financial planning process from a transformation
perspective.
About You
• Familiar with iptiQ business is a plus
• Experience in senior management roles with insurance or financial services
industries
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex transformation initiatives and
across multiple geographies
• Ideally experience serving in Chief of Staff or similar strategic advisory capacity to
C-level executives, with deep understanding of executive decision-making
processes
• Demonstrated ability to steer, influence, and align diverse stakeholder groups, from
board members to employees, across different cultures and geographies
• Experience in change management methodologies and organisational design
principles
• Proficiency in data-driven decision making and performance management
frameworks
• Excellent communication skills with ability to distil complex concepts to diverse
audiences and draft compelling narratives for different stakeholder groups
• Highly effective problem solver with attention to detail
For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between 166,000 CHF and 250,000 CHF for a full-time role.
The specific salary offered considers:
• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience. In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
