Financial Governance Graduate

Über diesen Job

Launch your career with impact!

We’re looking for curious, motivated graduates with strong people skills who want to grow, learn, and make a difference. If you hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD and have up to three years of professional experience, apply to our 18-month Graduate Programme starting 1 September 2026.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of reinsurance, rotate into a different team, and receive tailored training to build your expertise. This is your chance to shape your future – and help protect societies from the world’s most complex risks.

About the Role

As a Graduate in Financial Governance, you will play a key role in supporting the integrity of our financial reporting framework and capital adequacy processes. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to IFRS External Reporting, Swiss Solvency Test (SST), and Solvency II (SII) requirements, while developing a strong understanding of how financial, actuarial, and risk data come together to support decision-making at the highest levels.

You will contribute to building a robust financial control environment that not only meets internal management needs but also complies with evolving global regulatory requirements. This role provides a comprehensive foundation in financial governance, capital requirements, and reporting processes, setting you up for a career in finance, risk management, or regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Financial & Regulatory Reporting processes from end-to-end, gaining valuable insights into compliance requirements
  • Strengthen Governance & Control frameworks to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy
  • Enable Process & Tool Integration to improve efficiency and data quality across finance functions
  • Collaborate with Global Stakeholders across Finance, Actuarial, Risk and Internal Audit departments
  • Engage in Strategic Projects that shape the future of our financial reporting landscape

About the Team

You would join the Financial Governance team within the Group Reporting & Investor Relations Department. The mission of Financial Governance is to enable trust and integrity of Swiss Re's Group Financial Statements and Reporting through a strong control environment. We are a young team of Finance professionals with international backgrounds, demonstrating high integrity and proactive attitudes to drive forward Swiss Re's strategy of building an efficient and resilient finance operating model.

You are proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with an eagerness to learn from a wide range of stakeholders in a global environment. You thrive on solving problems, getting to the root cause, and connecting people across the company. Your drive to consistently push forward solutions will help shape the future of financial reporting and governance at Swiss Re.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements

  • Successfully completed university degree (Bachelor, Master, or PhD) with up to 3 years of professional experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex processes and data
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence to work with colleagues across finance, risk, and actuarial functions
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a positive attitude
  • Excellent oral and written English skills

These are additional nice to haves

  • Strong interest in financial processes, governance, risk management, or regulatory reporting (IFRS, SST, SII)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and curiosity to develop digital skills (e.g., Power BI, process tools, programming languages)
  • Previous internship or work experience in finance, audit, accounting, or insurance/reinsurance
  • Additional language skills (German or another European language)

The base salary range for this position will be shared with you during the interview process.

The application process is open for at least 4 weeks and if you do not hear from us within this time frame, it does not mean your application is ignored. We will get back to you latest by mid-November.
