For our client, a multinational food engineering group headquartered in the greater Zürich area, we are seeking, immediately or by arrangement, a ‘Food Process Engineer & Membrane Technologist’. The draft job description reads as follows (with minor adjustments from us):
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Head of Food Bioprocessing
- Conducting pilot trials with internal and external partners, and scaling up of process technologies for industrial production on site
- Commissioning of membrane filtration installations
- Supporting the commissioning, process optimization and troubleshooting
- Supporting the development and documentation of new process applications for the food sector
- Coordinating projects with customers, internal business partners and third-party suppliers
- Project management in technology and product development
Requirements:
- MSc in biotechnology, bioengineering, chemical engineering, food process engineering or a related field
- Profound experience and know-how in the application of membrane filtration technology in industrial production such as dairy industry, experience as commissioning engineer would be a plus
- Project management and customer facing experience
- Fluency in English (at least level C1); German would be a plus
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Enjoy working in an international environment with a wide variety of cultures
- Eligibility to work permit in EU/EFTA area
- Willingness to frequent, global travel (approx. 30%)
