We are seeking a highly experienced Medical Affairs Expert to lead and oversee medical operations across a regional, multi-country, or global scope. The successful candidate will ensure excellence in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Drug Safety, while fostering compliance, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration. This leadership role is crucial for aligning medical strategy with corporate goals, ensuring product safety, and supporting business growth in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Location: Basel, Switzerland
Contract Duration: 01.11.2025 – 31.03.2026
Workload: 100%
Work Model: Hybrid (onsite & remote)

Responsibilities

Lead, develop, and direct the medical function across regions, countries, or globally.

Manage and develop talent across medical, regulatory, and clinical functions.

Oversee budget planning and resource allocation for internal and external initiatives.

Define and implement medical strategies aligned with business objectives.

Ensure compliance with global ethical standards and governance frameworks.

Build and maintain strong collaborations with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).

Provide medical leadership in product-related issue management and risk assessment.

Foster effective communication between medical and commercial organizations.
Must-Haves
-
Minimum 7+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, or related fields.

Early clinical development in Oncology

Proven track record in leading regional/global medical teams.

Strong expertise in regulatory, drug safety, and compliance standards.

Demonstrated ability to design and implement medical strategies across geographies.

Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and people development skills.

Fluency in English (written and spoken).
