As Head of the new Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Property and Engineering Insurance, you will be responsible for implementing and driving its development at the group level. You will initiate, support, and coordinate Property and Engineering coverages, aiming to grow margins and expand our presence in these sectors for the new Global Specialist. Your focus will be on adapting and enhancing existing strategies and market approaches to deliver results.

• Coordinate and further develop group-wide underwriting guidelines and standardize existing policies.
• Establish and implement a unified underwriting framework and reporting processes.
• Develop local business cases and market activities to drive profitable growth in Property and Engineering lines.
• Facilitate internal networking and professional development across regional teams.
• Ensure close collaboration with stakeholders (e.g., Cat Nat, Risk Engineering Service, Claims) and serve as a central operational resource
• Optimize group-wide reinsurance capacity and support professional accumulation control and scenario analysis.
• Review and support cases outside local competencies; enhance pricing tools and business-specific processes.
• Represent Helvetia in professional forums, lead data analysis, and deliver targeted training and recruitment support.

• Extensive experience in Property and Engineering across the entire value chain, including product development, pricing, underwriting, claims, accumulation management, and reinsurance fundamentals.
• Strong expertise in both Property and Engineering insurances.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for productive interaction with market participants and business units.
• A genuine passion for Property and Engineering Insurances.
• Proficiency in English and German is required.
• Additional European languages (Spanish, French, Italian) are considered advantageous but are not essential.
