We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Head of Valuation (f/m/d) to lead and oversee all valuation activities across our Luxembourg-domiciled Real Estate, Infrastructure, Securities, Loan and Private Debt Funds. This operational role is embedded within our AIFM structure and plays a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance and valuation integrity across our investment portfolios.
You will be responsible for managing the full valuation lifecycle, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with Luxembourg regulatory requirements. This role requires deep expertise in real assets and a strong understanding of valuation methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the valuation activities for Luxembourg domiciled Real Asset (Real Estate, Infrastructure Equity) and Financial Asset Products (Securities, Loans and Private Debt).
- Develop and maintain the valuation framework including valuation policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and expectations and industry standards.
- Organize, prepare, actively participate, and follow up in Valuation Committees, ensuring the highest standards in the valuation process, methodologies and documentation.
- Review valuation models and assess assumptions and underlying data of the model.
- Manage and coordinate with external appraisers, auditors, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely valuations.
- Collaborate closely with Portfolio Management and Risk teams to support fund lifecycle activities.
- Serve as the main contact for valuation-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide valuation input for fund performance analysis and reporting.
- Report to the respective Conducting Officers, Management Committee and Boards
- Monitor market and regulatory trends and valuation benchmarks to ensure valuations reflect current market conditions as well as best practice valuation techniques.
Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience within an AIFM or Big Four, specifically in valuation of alternative assets.
- Strong knowledge of valuation techniques and models for various assets such as Real Estate, Infrastructure Equity and Private Debt.
- Strong understanding of Luxembourg regulatory environment (IPEV and RICS guidelines) and AIFMD requirements.
- Excellent analytical communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional relationships.
- Fluent in English; German and/or French are considered as a strong asset.
- Proficient in Excel
- MRICS, EACVA, CVP or similar qualifications are highly valued.
