The Internship role is designed to provide individuals with an opportunity to gain practical experience, exposure, and training in a specific department or function. Trainees will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to develop a comprehensive understanding of their chosen field. This role is suitable for individuals who are eager to learn, contribute to projects, and explore potential career paths within the organization.Our Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) team at Julius Baer plays a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with the bank’s external vendors, suppliers, and service providers. Operating within the broader Operational Risk framework, the team ensures that third-party relationships comply with regulatory requirements and align with the bank’s risk appetite. This includes conducting due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and risk assessments throughout the lifecycle of third-party engagements. The team collaborates closely with procurement, IT security, legal, compliance, and business units across the organisation to safeguard operational integrity and resilience.
YOUR CHALLENGE
Support in the definition and global roll-out of an enhanced third party risk management framework
Help with the elaboration of training and support materials for different stakeholder groups and the conduct of respective trainings
Contribute to the preparation of risk assessment reports, committee papers, and management summaries
Coordinate with internal stakeholders across business units and control functions to gather necessary information
Assist in the monitoring of international regulatory requirements on third party risk management
Participate in process improvement initiatives and assist in enhancing TPRM policies, templates, and workflows
YOUR PROFILE
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme, ideally in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Law, Information Security, or a related field
Interest in operational risk, governance, and risk control frameworks
Experienced in Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint);
Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills, self-reliance and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Analytical mindset with good problem-solving abilities and a structured approach to work
Excellent command of English (written and spoken); knowledge of German or another official Swiss language is beneficial
Available for an internship duration of 6-12 months, with 30-50% availability preferred
