We are looking for the Lead Group Strategy Projects to join our dynamic team and contribute to shaping the strategic direction for the Swiss Re Group.
Purpose of the Role
You will lead a team within Swiss Re’s Group Strategy function and contributes to shaping the Group’s direction. You will combine corporate strategy, executive-level advisory, people leadership, and a strong transaction-oriented perspective to support Swiss Re’s long-term ambition.
About the Role
This role sits at the heart of Swiss Re’s decision-making, with direct exposure to the Group Executive Committee. You will lead and develop a team of Group Strategy Managers, oversee the delivery of high-impact strategic initiatives, and serve as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders. You will also shape and drive the Group’s strategic agenda, lead cross-Group projects, and advance key partnerships, transformation efforts, and integration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of Group Strategy Managers, setting clear priorities, coaching performance, and ensuring high quality delivery
- Contribute to the definition of Swiss Re’s Group strategic agenda across a broad range of topics
- Support executive decision-making by overseeing the preparation of clear, concise, and impactful materials for the Group Executive Committee
- Develop and drive strategic initiatives by delivering high-quality analyses, research, and thought leadership that support the Group’s agenda.
- Drive transformation by contributing to high-impact, cross-functional projects that create value across business units and group functions, with a focus on potential inorganic growth opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across geographies to ensure alignment and execution of strategic priorities

About You
You're a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical capabilities and a talent for translating complex concepts into clear, actionable insights. Your leadership style balances high performance expectations with supportive development of team members. You thrive in collaborative environments while maintaining the confidence to drive independent initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements
- 7+ years experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or related roles
- Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing high-performing teams
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and financial skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clear insights and recommendations
- Understanding of (re)insurance, financial services, or related industries
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience building relationships across functions and geographies
- Experience in post-merger integration is a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing materials for executive and board-level audiences
- University Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Excellent command of English (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus
For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between 128,000 CHF and 192,000 CHF for a full-time role.
The specific salary offered considers:
• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role
• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
