On behalf of our customer, a smaller, listed Life Sciences start-up group (focus on oncology) with a location in Munich, we are seeking the Medical Director DACH (f/m).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act in a leadership position in Medical Affairs for Germany, Austria and Switzerland; manage the regional Medical Affairs team
- Actively participate/lead a broad range of medical affairs activities, including preparation support of investigator sponsored trial (IST) programs, and medical review of Medical Affairs materials and promotional materials
- Provide Medical Affairs input to the affiliate team
- Oversee the investigator sponsored trial (IST) in the region DACH and possibly other parts of the EU
- Participate and/or facilitate data presentation and discussion at national advisory boards and investigator meetings
- Review medical and promotional materials for scientific/medical accuracy
- Provide medical review and sign-off of medical drug information letters, slides, custom responses, publications, medical education grants, and other medical affairs materials as needed
- Serve as a physician on call to address call center questions from healthcare professionals
- Provide medical review and sign-off of promotional and sales training materials
- Provide education and trainings to MSLs and field force
- Contribute positively to a strong culture of business integrity and ethics
- Act within compliance and legal requirements as well as within company guidelines
Requirements:
- MD with 8+ years in academic, clinical, or industry setting required
- Fluency in English and German
- Strong experience or education in oncology
- Familiarity with GCP/ICH/FDA/ANSM requirements as well as clinical trial design, biostatistics, medical writing, product safety, and regulatory affairs
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Strong public speaking skills
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Ability to influence and work effectively across functions and operate in a matrix environment
- Experience in LMC, LAL, LAM
- Good collaboration with key opinion leaders
- Keep an appropriate distance with practising GPs and other medical staff
- Ability to work in a start-up environment
- Interest in scientific marketing
- Ability to travel
- Proven track record in leadership and management
