The Global Product Solutions (GPS) Technology team delivers cutting-edge solutions for Structured Products, Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivatives. We are seeking a Senior Front Arena Developer to support and evolve our core trading platform in Zurich.

Working in an agile, collaborative environment, you’ll design, develop, and maintain the mission-critical Front Arena (FIS) platform. This role ensures high availability, performance, and integration across key systems - including market data, pricing, and back-office platforms - while supporting global trading operations with scalable, compliant solutions.

As a trusted technical contributor, you will lead development efforts, partner with business stakeholders, and uphold the highest standards in quality, risk, and regulatory compliance.

YOUR CHALLENGE

• Develop, customize, and enhance the Front Arena (FIS) platform to deliver new trading and risk capabilities

• Design, implement, test, and deploy software features within an agile framework (Scrum/SAFe)

• Ensure seamless integration between Front Arena and upstream/downstream systems (market data, pricing, back-office)

• Maintain and monitor production systems with focus on stability, performance, and high availability

• Manage and execute End-of-Day (EOD) processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Provide Level 2/3 application support and resolve complex technical incidents promptly

• Participate in on-call rotations for urgent production issue resolution

• Conduct peer code reviews to enforce coding standards, security, and best practices

• Drive continuous improvements by identifying optimisation opportunities and mitigating risks

• Support change management activities, including release planning and deployment coordination

YOUR PROFILE

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Front Arena (ACM, ADFL/AEL) development and administration

• In-depth knowledge of capital markets, especially structured products and equity derivatives

• Solid understanding of financial instrument lifecycles (cash flows, corporate actions, expiries)

• Proven expertise in Python, SQL, MS-SQL Server, and Windows OS; familiarity with ADFL preferred

• Experience administering, configuring, and troubleshooting Front Arena Prime environments

• Working knowledge of messaging systems (e.g., IBM MQ, Kafka) and automation tools

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and version control (Git, Bitbucket)

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global, regulated environment

• Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset and attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (verbal and written)

• Willingness and ability to take part in a rotating on-call schedule to provide continuous 24/7 production support as required
