Intro
Hi, I’m Carina and I work at what. AG, a leading digital consultancy based in Zurich, Switzerland.
We’re looking for a skilled, reliable, and experienced Fullstack Developer with strong Laravel and ReactJS expertise to support our diverse digital projects. You’ll join a talented, remote-first team of developers, designers, and strategists who care deeply about creating maintainable, user-friendly digital products.
This is a long-term freelance opportunity for someone who enjoys building high-quality software in a pragmatic and collaborative environment. You’ll take ownership of projects, work closely with cross-functional teams, and help shape the future of digital platforms for a wide range of clients.
About what. AG:
- We’re a digital consultancy based in Zurich, with a global team of 50+ experts.
- We create modern websites, digital products, and growth strategies for clients ranging from startups to global brands.
- We focus on quality, scalability, and long-term client partnerships.
- Our culture is built on trust, autonomy, and continuous improvement.
Tasks
- Lead frontend and backend implementation of Laravel + React projects, from concept to launch.
- Build and integrate REST APIs to connect digital products to external services.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers to deliver user-centric experiences.
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code with a pragmatic approach.
- Take part in long-term maintenance and iteration of digital platforms.
- Contribute to internal improvement by sharing ideas and feedback.
Requirements
- +4 years of professional experience with Laravel and PHP.
- Strong experience with ReactJS (VueJS is a bonus).
- Good command of HTML5, SCSS/CSS, TypeScript, and Bootstrap; Tailwind experience is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of Docker and Git (CLI).
- Familiarity with building and consuming REST APIs.
- You care about UX and take pride in creating products that not only work, but feel great.
- Experience working remotely and collaboratively across time zones.
- Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus).
- Bonus: Experience with Angular (for legacy projects), but not required.
Benefits
- 100% remote with flexible working hours – we care about results, not when or where you work.
- Flat hierarchy – quick decisions, direct communication.
- A lot of ownership – you’ll help shape how and what we build.
- 25 days holiday allowance (if working full-time), plus public holidays off.
- Weekly remote stretching sessions and access to exclusive coaching programmes.
- Fair compensation with the potential to join our profit participation scheme.
- Opportunities to visit clients on-site in Switzerland.
- A smart, multicultural team that values curiosity, clarity, and continuous learning.

How to Apply:
- Please send us your CV and a 1–3 min intro video (we recommend Loom or YouTube), where you explain what attracted you to this role and why we should hire you.
👉 We strongly encourage an intro video (1–3 minutes) to help us get to know you better – this will be a key part of the first review step.
Make sure you follow these steps, as we often receive a lot of applications and being organised is critical. We are looking for a team member for the long term and will offer raises and bonuses based on performance as we grow our company and you progress.
Please note: Applications sent via other channels (e.g. email or social media) will not be reviewed.
If successful at this stage, there will be a short video call between us, and video and spoken English will be required. Don’t worry if you’re shy – I am too!
