Our headquarters is located in Lyss, Bern, with a satellite office in Zurich-Altstetten. In your role as a Senior Project Manager Mechatronics, you will be working mainly in Zurich.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and lead complex aerospace / space projects related to the development of fluidic and electromechanical systems.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large projects, ensuring successful on-time deliveries and managing both, contractual scope in a technical environment and budget. You should be enthusiastic about highly specialized technology and appreciate contact with international customers.Teamwork is especially important to us. A large part of our success is based on interpersonal interaction for combining expertise from different disciplines. A varied, challenging but exciting range of tasks awaits you.
Tasks
- Accountability for overall project leading and coordination of activities
- Responsibility and accountability for project scope, budget and schedule
- Management of cross-functional teams and resources to foster collaborative and a high-performance team environment
- Responsibility for planning, execution, monitoring/control and closure of activities
- Management of customer relationship, acting as main point of contact
- Implementation of best project management practices, satisfying project quality and standard requirements
- Communication lead between customer, certain key suppliers, and internal operations
- Negotiations with customers and suppliers, as needed, during the whole project phaseManagement of large offer elaboration, from initial contact to proposal release
Requirements
- Technical master’s degree in mechanical or structural engineering, or in a related field
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams and complex development projects
- At least 5 years of experience in the international space industry (commercial or institutional) with knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Customer and solution orientation
- Enjoyment of challenges and willingness to go the extra mile
- Very good knowledge of English (oral and written). German or French is a significant plus
