Working on the beating heart of our IT Infrastructure In this system engineer position, you combine your fascination for complex event management software with the responsibility for the stable operation of these systems. Together with an experienced team you are working in the engine room of the Banks event management and monitoring services. Your goal is to define filters, automation patterns and a modern infrastructure for a steady growing event data stream of our systems. By doing so, your customers are our internal IT service owners, that rely on your consulting & expertise.

YOUR CHALLENGE

• Ongoing development of our Event Management Engine
• Implementation of monitoring definitions
• Implementation of contemporary observability solutions
• Supporting our internal customers with custom monitoring solutions for their business applications
• Life cycle & change management of our existing infrastructure
• Coordination of L3 support cases with our software supplier
• On duty service

YOUR PROFILE

• University degree in Computer Science or a comparable level of education
• Proven experience in Unix administration and scripting (Perl, Bash, JavaScript)
• Proficiency in at least one programming language
• Experience working with middleware technologies
• Familiarity with virtual container administration
• Strong understanding of version control software and documentation of code changes
• Experience with IBM Software products
• Knowledge of API technologies and network infrastructure
• Understanding of DBMS concepts
• Abstract thinking and engineering mindset
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
• Conscientious and detail-oriented approach to work
• Fluency in English and German (at least B2 level)
• ITIL Foundation Certification
