At Julius Baer, we celebrate and value the individual qualities you bring, enabling you to be impactful, to be entrepreneurial, to be empowered, and to create value beyond wealth. Let’s shape the future of wealth management together.
Kick-start your career with Julius Baer’s Graduate Programme – October 2026Are you about to complete your master’s degree or recently graduated and ready to turn ambition into impact? At Julius Baer, we empower graduates to shape the future of wealth management.
Our 18-month Graduate Programme is designed to unleash your potential through three dynamic rotations, including an international assignment. You’ll gain hands-on experience, build a global network, and lay the foundation for a thriving career in wealth management.
Your team:
As a member of the CIO Office Global Fixed Income (CIOO GFI) in Zürich, Switzerland, you will start on the Global Fixed Income High Yield fund desk, supporting management of the Julius Baer’s Global Quality High Yield UCITS fund. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in individual bond selection and shaping the fund’s risk-return profile through integrated top-down and bottom-up analysis—covering asset allocation, portfolio construction, and security selection.
Next, you will take on an international assignment with the CIO Office Asia Fixed Income team in Singapore (or London), deepening your expertise in fixed income portfolio management within a fast-paced regional context. This rotation may include exposure to diverse credit markets and investment strategies.
Upon returning to Zürich, you will complete your program with a final rotation in a key CIO Office team, either within Global Equity and Fixed Income (in equity or fixed income portfolio management) or in another division such as JB Research, contributing to fundamental and valuation analysis used across Julius Baer’s investment units. The CIOO GFI department, based in Zürich within the CIO Office Global Equity & Fixed Income, serves as the central fixed income competence hub and oversees the bank’s global fixed income funds and discretionary mandates. It provides strategic support to the Group CIO, Investment Committee, and global Investment Management operations.
With 16 specialized professionals in Switzerland, the team combines deep market expertise with a disciplined investment approach. Over the past five to ten years, CIOO GFI has achieved superior risk-adjusted returns by integrating best practices from institutional and private wealth management—from research and portfolio construction to execution. Operating under a unified mandate, the team manages all fixed income solutions—including discretionary mandates, core investment funds, and structured certificates—in a cohesive manner, ensuring full alignment with client interests and consistent risk oversight.
