Your new responsibilities

• Design and evolve the system architecture of a scalable, cloud-native IoT platform.

• Define the architectural vision and align it with long-term product strategy and business goals.

• Analyze and clarify business use cases in close collaboration with global product teams.

• Define system requirements and specifications together with stakeholders from product management, architecture, and project leadership.

• Translate requirements into actionable features for globally distributed development teams, ensuring smooth communication and efficient delivery.

• Lead the consolidation of diverse technical solutions, identify functional gaps, and define migration strategies.

• Mentor and support development teams in architectural best practices, design patterns, and quality standards through code reviews, design workshops, and technical guidance.

• Contribute to architectural documentation, technical decision records (ADRs), and stakeholder presentations.

Your talents and experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable.

• Proven track record in software architecture and development.

• Deep expertise in cloud-native development, infrastructure as code and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP), with hands-on mindset.

• Solid understanding of IoT edge devices, device management principles, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, OPC UA).

• Ability to balance long-term architectural goals with short-term delivery needs, making pragmatic, value-driven decisions.

• Experience working in agile, cross-functional environments; ability to mentor and coach developers and architects alike.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of facilitating technical discussions and decision-making across diverse teams.

• Business-fluent in English; German is a strong advantage in our working environment.
