For our customer, a listed, multinational Life Sciences start-up group with a location in the Zug area, we are immediately seeking a Paralegal (temporary for 9 months; as may be extended). The job description reads as follows (with minor adjustments from us):
Responsibilities:
- Support the group’s international expansion
- Provide support to the international Legal & Compliance function
- Work across a broad range of legal support areas, interacting with various group business functions and international offices
- Administer and manage the group’s database/repository on a regional and country level by providing support regarding contract templates, incl. drafting tasks, updating, formatting and working with outside legal counsel, and maintaining the E-contracts database up-to-date
- Support the group’s international corporate housekeeping matters, incl. administrative support on the group’s corporate legal framework and obligations, executing necessary paperwork and retaining records in line with applicable regulations and corporate governance
- Legal research and supporting legal projects within the group’s international Legal & Compliance function
- Provide assistance on ad-hoc Legal & Compliance projects
- Administer, retain and archive critical documents
- Liaise with outside counsel on legal issues as well as building and managing relationships with external legal counsels and other relevant third parties
- Provide administrative support to Legal & Compliance Associates, incl. on correspondence, preparing documents, travel, meeting planning, expense reports, purchase orders, invoice payments and budgeting
- Work in and contribute towards a team-oriented environment, efficiently operating cross-functionally with colleagues to jointly ensure that the organisation is acting in an effective and compliant manner
Requirements:
- Commercial apprenticeship or similar education; Paralegal qualification would be a plus
- Experience in contract management gained at a law firm (life sciences/health care experience essential) and/or in-house in a European or multinational pharmaceutical company
- Fluency in German and English (each at least level C1)
- Proficient user of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience in using a contract database and managing E-contracts
- Practical business-oriented solution approach
- Well-organized; able to prioritize and manage a changing workload and meet deadlines
- Open-minded and positive personality. Flexible, proactive, assertive, committed, reliable and with a strong "can-do” attitude
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
