Robotics in a sterile Pharma Isolator
Sterile Discharging of large Aluminum Cans into a Process Vessel – Case Study
An OEB 3 sterile powder should be transferred from aluminum cans to a compounding vessel in an aseptic environment. To create the aseptic environment, an isolator with hydrogen peroxide decontamination is selected. The chosen solution for the transfer process is the use of 2 cleanroom robots to handle the cans. A motorized split butterfly valve is used as the valve for closing the compounding vessel. The entire system is assigned to one product, so cross-contamination is not to be expected.
