Established in 2008, Citadel Dental in Lincoln, California, treats patients ages three to 93 and beyond from Roseville, Rocklin, Pleasant Grove, Beale Air Force Base, and surrounding areas. Founded by Dr. Farid Gogani, Citadel Dental provides general and cosmetic dentistry ranging from routine care to full-mouth restorations. Procedures at Citadel Dental include fillings, extractions, sealing, bleaching, bonding, inlays, and onlays. Caring and compassionate, Dr. Gogani also provides dentures, veneers, root canals, crowns, bridges, and dental implants. He holds special interest in modern restorative techniques, implants, and cosmetic dentistry. Educated at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, where he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery, the skilled dentist maintains memberships in the California and American Dental Associations and the Sacramento District Dental Society.

The state-of-the-art technology at Citadel Dental includes digital imaging, which produces radiographs that enable Dr. Gogani to assess the level and health of bone; examine the nerves and roots of teeth; diagnose lesions; and detect cavities, even those between teeth. The process limits exposure time and facilitates the storage and transfer of patient images to the appropriate specialists. Laser dentistry at Citadel Dental can harden bonding material, diagnose cavities, treat canker and gum sores, release tied tongues, and lengthen crowns. Additional technologies include the intraoral camera, LumaLite and LaserSmile teeth whitening, electric hand-pieces to replace the old whining drills for more precision, and the CEREC procedure to replace unattractive amalgam fillings, as well as decayed or damaged teeth, with all-ceramic tooth material.

Dr. Gogani played a key role on a research team at the University of Gothenburg, focusing his study on preventing cavities, developing new dental products, and exploring modern restorative techniques. He designed Citadel Dental as a practice where art and science could interact to provide the best results for patients. The California dentist frequently attends courses and seminars to learn about advances in dental technology and treatment alternatives. A devoted husband and father, Dr. Gogani takes pleasure in listening to music, following history, painting, and appreciating art, outside of his work at Citadel Dental.
