Program Manager – Public Health Department, Waliso, Oromia Region, Ethiopia • Responsible, together with the local counterpart, for the implementation of a program for the strengthening of mother and child services in four districts of South West Shoa Zone (Oromia Region), covering 20 Health Centers and 33 Health Posts (financed by the Italian Cooperation) • Coordinating multiple stakeholders for the implementation of a pilot project on cervical cancer (“See and Treat”) in the same districts

Hospital Administrator – Kandahar, Afghanistan • Responsible, together with the local counterpart, for the coordination and support of the auxiliary services of a 450 beds regional hospital, with a special focus on administration, human resources, purchasing and biomedical department • Coordination of a team of 14 health field officers: planning and supervision of daily activities, training and final appraisals

• Responsible for the set-up of an emergency and recovery area for a diocese hospital located in the township; Upgrade of diagnostic services; set-up of long distance consultation system with hospitals based in Milan area; • Coordinate and oversee the logistic aspects of the hospital supply chain, facilitate international surgical teams missions, budget control analysis and administrative support

Follow daily the staff management, budgeting and financial sustainability issues (including redefinition of user fees), purchasing procedures, public relations, promotion and visibility of the hospital (70 beds pediatric orthopedic Centre, specialized in the medical assistance and rehabilitation of clubfeet patients and other neurological conditions)

• Budget control for all NGO projects on the field • Administration and accountability support, monitoring of incomes and donation databases, training of local staff on accountability procedures (short field missions)

• Coordinate and follow-up of recruiting procedures Selection of the international staff (doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, support staff) to be deployed into the field; Staff planning, briefing and debriefings, preparation of expats missions

• Follow all related aspect of the Program from HQ, including budget control, staff missions, logistics and visibility • Issue presentations and articles for donors and other relevant stakeholders, relevant documentation, reporting and statistics
