Mobile Jazz is an expert in Mobile Technology. We specialize in building high quality software ranging from simple mobile apps for iPhone, iPad and Android up to complex systems that depend on a reliable and scalable backend and database infrastructure.

Development of a virtual keyboard for the Android mobile operating system. My task is project management and software architecture. I organise the team of six people, with iterations of two weeks, daily scrum-style meetings, and a backlog of personally assigned tasks. I design and the architecture and participate in its implementation. There is a virtual keyboard on Android devices and a server on Google AppEngine with a BigTable database.

Project: Development of a new survey engine. The engine implements a new paradigm and therefore is unique. Tools: Implemented in Java: Parser and several interpreters for Javascript, client and server for the Atom-Protocol with GData-extensions, web pages with Ajax (DWR), Back end is a fat client (Java web start and Swing).

Java internet developer

Participation in several internet web projects, mainly using Java.

PhD thesis: "Expression refinement". A calculus for expressing specifications of computer programs and deriving the programs by calculation. Presented at the Department of Computing Science, 1997. Supervisor: Dr J.M.Morris.

In mathematics I concentrated on the algebraic courses and in computing on the programming and theoretical courses. Final year project: Graphical visualisation of complex number operations -- a program for teaching mathematics.
