ALSOLEN CSP plants deliver electricity, water desalination, solar cooling as well as thermal power (4 applications). Mission: Technical definition and components sizing of the plant: • Define components size and the production of the applications; • Establish the PFD and PID of the plant; • Write calculation notes of the sizing of the various components • Interface with the suppliers; • Define operation manual; • OPEX calculation methodolgy

Concentrated solar plants are based on the concentration of solar radiation and its use for heating a fluid used as a hot source for a thermodynamic machine and industrial process. The missions: • Prediction of annual performances; • Modeling the chain of components as a whole, from solar radiation to multithermal utilities; • Evaluation of the capacity for different operating scenarii. The study will focus on the prototype already built, as well as extrapolated geometries on an industrial scale.

The study focuses on Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) system for electricity production: • Adaptation of the methodology of the existing refrigerant choice; • Performance model implementation of a supercritical OTEC Rankine cycle with the selected fluids; • Performance comparison with a Rankine cycle for the selected fluids. The model behavior will characterize: • The system performance • The components critical volume of the process • The power generation optimum

Student project in partnership with the company Segula Technologies (Saint-Herblain, 44). Mission: Study of the electric generation of a floating offshore wind turbine. • Consideration of wind fluctuation and wave conditions; • Choice of blade profiles and determination of the rotational speed of the rotor; • Choice of the electric generation system; • Management of a 4 students group, tasks sharing, reporting.

Mission : Tuning And Optimization Of a Fuel Cell Stack Model. • Development of new computer components in order to model fuel cells • Bibliographic researches • Simulation tests were carried out • Report written in English.
