The main goal of this thesis is to develop realistic Finite Element model which solves thermo-mechanical multi-physics problem of Silicon Carbide roll. The mechanical properties are determined by Three Point Bending test at room temperature and at high temperature condition. In addition, micro-structural study is also done to analyze the presence of defects of the material using X-Ray Computed Tomography. The design results found are reliable and can be used further for weight optimization process.

The task of the project involves FEM Design and Development of a vehicle model with HYPERMESH morphing Technique and the Finite Element Calculation is done using LS-DYNA. The results were then visualized and analyzed using Animator and LS-Prepost. Further, the optimization is done using LS-Opt to improve the non-linear crash behavior of the model.
Task of the project is to simulate the heat flow in 2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional Cylindrical Co-ordinate System for the Ceramic Work Rolls in Cold Rolling Process. The Finite Element Calculation is done using MATLAB and FORTRAN programs.
