- Sales to Middle Eastern and North African central banks and financial institutions (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Morocco, Tunisia) of European fixed-income products (government and corporate bonds). - Provided coverage of alternative derivative products on MATIF and DTB (arbitrage recommendations and execution).

- Managed a $100 million money market and floating rate notes portfolio. - Implemented and launched a closed-end fund invested in derivative products (interest rates, commodities) and U.S. Treasury zero-coupons; the fund appealed to high-net worth individuals interested in benefiting from above average returns and willing to guarantee their capital over an horizon contractually defined in advance. The fund was also implemented according to Islamic banking principles.

- Monitored market making of newly issued Eurobonds. Involved in all major currencies. - Held the book for the international share of the new rights issue (“Certificats de Participation”/ Certificates of Participation) launched by Credit Lyonnais in its own name in June 1986. This was a major operation meant to raise fresh capital for the bank without diluting the French state’s voting powers.

- Assisted French exporters and helped them find distribution channels. - Provided assistance to local importers interested in French products (consumer products, industrial, transportation) and engineering services.
