My analysis resulted in agreeing with the client that the operations are not possible with the intended structure and I decided to terminate the project. The company management restructured the implemented approach on my departure.

I worked in a database administrator team of three, which was responsible for supporting production database systems. We also worked with the system architect team, to implement hardware and software changes. Each one of us had dedicated clients, for we needed to provide support and consultancy in terms of performance and system upgrades.

Our main focus in the company was to implement, maintain and support Retek (now Oracle Retail) products to large retail companies. I worked as a developer, on-line support specialist, doing batch design & monitoring, data warehouse implementation and also doing database administration.

I joined Logtek as the principal Oracle support consultant. It was my duty to manage all support activities which included server installation & maintenance, database design, database performance management, system design, forms development, third party integration and user training (which included training developers of a subsidiary company).

I started at Bynx as a Oracle developer, working on financial software. My initial project was the implementation of a payroll system in Uganda. The next project I worked on was the re-engineering of our accounts payable modules, which we did during the course of 6 months.
