Created designs for power supplies like R.F. power supplies, DC-DC converters, inverters etc. Designed analog circuits to sense voltage & current both for networked energy meters and induction furnaces and worked on mitigating EMI in these applications. Designed transformers and inductors for various SMPS topologies. Wrote firmware for 8-bit ATMEL micro-controllers to interface sensors, input devices, displays and other networked devices using inbuilt ADC, UART, SPI, I2C

Conducted research on building energy efficient power supplies for induction furnace, LED lighting and energy efficient cookware. Involved in developing an innovative half-duplex, multi-node, multi-drop sensor-actuator network hardware and protocol called SMALNet. Developed a novel power factor estimation algorithm for single phase non-sinusoidal loads.

Conducted electrical maintenance activities in PTA process plant for various electrical equipments like induction motors (rated up to 1.5 MW), electrical substation switchgear (rated up to 33 KV), HVAC systems, battery banks, VFDs, DG sets, lighting installations etc.
